Volkswagen Golf (AJK8033) Cloned & Duplicated Car Plates Caught - Hanky Panky in JPJ?

2 Volkswagen Golfs, both bearing the number plate AJK8033 was shown together in a picture that has gone viral on social media. The first Volkswagen Golf with the AJK 8033 number plate is the newer MK7, while the dark red Volkswagen Golf appears to be an MK5, How could 2 cars, both Volkswagen Golf bear the same number plate AJK8033? My take on this is that one of the car is a Singapore deregistered car, that has been shipped to Malaysia as "for spare part use". Some hanky panky or loophole in the JPJ enabled the car to be registered as a "cloned car".

Volkswagen Golf (AJK8033) Cloned / Duplicated Car Plates Caught - Hanky Panky in JPJ?

Great that you have written a post about this. It also offers me the opportunity to add the following. There was a red VW, almost similar to the one on the left, that was left abandoned off Jalan Camar, Kota Damansara leading to the Villa Damansara/Sierra Damanasara housing area: http://s1294.photobucket.com/user/MatCendana/media/Social%20Media/VW1_zps5f4e003b.jpg.html

It was left there from early this month, if I'm not mistaken, and only taken away some days ago. I had suspected that it might have been involved in a crime and was abandoned there, with the number plates taken off. I'm surprised the residents' associations here and the authorities didn't do anything immediately, until last week.

Is this the same one as in your picture? If it isn't, then I'd bet there are a number of other similar VWs, and that there is an organised syndicate using this tactic of multiple number plates. The media and authorities need to investigate how serious this problem is, and who are involved.
